Right now the weather looks pretty nice over the upper Northern half of Missouri, but residents shouldn't be fooled. Severe Weather has teased through this area over the past week or so. Today may be your day. Keep your eyes peeled and ears to the radio. The SPC has issued a Tornado Watch, and the map has set up quite an interesting scenario. I am watching this area for some pretty good development this afternoon and evening.

4:52PM Storms are beginning to pop over Northern Missouri. Movement currently appears to be to the NE.
5:04PM Most Storms in Missouri appear to be North of I-70. However Massive SuperCell Thunderstorms are moving North out of the Oklahoma Panhandle into Kansas and could be a major part of the story tonight.
5:22PM As the development continues the storms appear to be moving in an ENE direction. Development will be rather quickly and should be monitored.
6:01PM The SPC has extended the Tornado Watch further East into Illinois. Development continues over the Northern portions of Missouri, though development has been slower than expected.
6:06PM Comments will be continued in the Missouri and Illinois under the gun blog.
