Powerful thunderstorms will erupt from eastern Nebraska through Iowa Saturday evening as hot air riding up from the south clashes with unseasonably cool air to the north.
The thunderstorms will track eastward through the night and produce damaging wind gusts in excess of 60 mph and large hail. The cities of Omaha, Nebraska and Des Moines, Iowa could be impacted by these severe storms.
