
BUCHANAN, Ohio -- A tornado touched down in Pike County as storms swept through the Tri-State.
At least three mobile homes were destroyed.Five people were injured and treated at local hospitals.The storm displaced two families due to the damage.Several roads are closed in Pike County because debris, high water and downed power lines cover most of the roadway.The South Central Power company is calling in crews to restore power.
As of this report, 660 customers in Ross County were without power and 461 homes in Pike County were affected, as well.Extensive tree damage was reported across eastern Scioto County, including the towns of Minford, Wheelersburg and South Webster.
A possible tornado was reported near state Route 772 and Valley-Schaffer-Denver Road near Summithill. Meteorologists said homes, trees and power lines were damaged in the area.The Red Cross is helping those displace by the storm. Volunteers are setting up an emergency shelter for those who need it. - WLWT News
